United Way of San Diego County
Nearly everyone has heard of United Way, but not everyone knows what the nonprofit does. Since 2009, we have helped increase awareness and understanding of United Way’s work in San Diego County as more than a fundraiser, but a leading problem solver and community convener. Highlighting United Way’s focus on tackling the complex social issues that impact every child and family, our scope of work includes messaging, media relations, press conferences, copy writing and editing, spokesperson training, social media assistance, annual report development, event planning and general PR/marketing consultation.
The JWC San Diego PR team spent a considerable amount of immersing themselves in the complex workings of United Way, its messaging and programs and have developed a constituent-friendly, strategic approach that the client says has driven “a high level awareness.” In one year, we secured local media coverage with an approximate ad value equivalency of more than $593,000.
