J. Walcher Communications Wins 2016 EAR Award for Radio Spot “Date Night”

J. Walcher Communications, a public relations and marketing agency in San Diego, has won the 2016 EAR (Effective Advertising on Radio) Award from the San Diego Radio Broadcasters Association (SDRBA) for its spot “Date Night” – written and produced for client Hazard Center.

The advertisement – one of only seven chosen to receive the award – was selected for its effectiveness in conveying messaging to target listeners, and creativity in writing and production. According to SDRBA, each of the seven winning entries reflects the rapidly growing trend to successfully combine digital media platforms with radio advertising.

The EAR Award selection committee is composed of writers, producers, sales managers and account representatives from a variety of San Diego-based radio stations. The awards have been presented since 1998 by the SDRBA – which exists to promote the use of radio as a primary medium, and serve as a resource for current information about radio in today’s dynamically changing media environment.
