For real estate development clients, Williams/Dame & Associates and American Life Inc., J. Walcher Communications produced a groundbreaking event for the dual-construction of two Marriott hotels (Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriott) in downtown L.A. With the goal of solidifying the developer’s reputation in the downtown L.A. real estate market and paving the way for future hotel projects, speakers – including the mayor of Los Angeles, the 9th district city councilwoman and Bill Marriott – gathered to heighten awareness of the hotels’ contribution to the economic landscape in L.A. and to recognize city planning staff and others who helped bring the onset of construction to fruition. We received lots of positive feedback, but our favorite comment came from Bill Marriott himself, who called it one of the best hotel groundbreaking events he’s ever been to.
