JWC is seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time account coordinator.

Scope of Work
The account coordinator will be involved in all aspects of the agency including digital and social media, media relations and research, writing, advertising, event coordination, project management, and client and product research for a variety of businesses.
We are seeking a strong, strategic and creative writer who can tackle a variety of subjects. The ideal candidate is passionate about the news and knowledgeable about what’s going on in the world; someone who takes his/her work very seriously, can juggle multiple projects and deadlines, manage and coordinate with co-workers and external vendors, including digital staff, graphic designers and advertising reps, and has a good dose of humor.
Specific responsibilities include social media management, PR, blog and e-newsletter writing, media relations and pitching, project management, research, database management, maintaining media lists and client clip files, proofreading, preparing presentation materials, website management (CMS), as well as administrative support which may include phones and general office tasks.
- 1-2 years PR/marketing experience.
- College graduate with bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related discipline.
- Previous internship or agency experience required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; knowledge of AP Style.
- Some experience with social media and/or digital relations for business accounts preferred
- Some media relations experience is ideal
- Adobe Photoshop and Cision media database knowledge a plus.
