Olivia Stafford, Account Supervisor
Olivia Stafford is an account supervisor at J. Walcher Communications, where she brings fresh perspective, innovative ideas and story-focused thinking in her daily work with JWC’s clients. Her desire to share a company’s story has guided her to be successful and strategic in media relations, community engagement and producing creative content for clients in various industries including nonprofit and advocacy, beer, culinary, arts and culture, film, professional associations and government relations.
Prior to joining the JWC team, Olivia worked for Focuscom Inc., a San Diego public relations and public affairs firm, where she started as a college intern. While there, she headed up projects varying from community outreach projects, to media relations and public awareness campaigns.
In her commitment to always sharpen her industry skills, Olivia is a member of the American Marketing Association, San Diego chapter. She has also been a member of the San Diego Press Club and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) San Diego/Imperial Counties chapter and served on its New Professionals Committee. She was awarded the 2017 New PR Professional of the Year Award by PRSA at the Edward L. Bernays Mark of Excellence Awards.
She also serves as a volunteer for Art FORM, a local organization that provides art education to Mid-City elementary schools, educates the community about environmental stewardship through art and runs a creative reuse art supply shop on Adams Avenue. Olivia graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2015 with a degree in Spanish and minors in both Writing and Public Relations. Additionally, for a semester abroad in 2013, she attended the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain, where she studied Spanish art, history and literature.
