Find out what gets her attention in a PR pitch and her biggest pet peeve below.

  1. What’s your favorite article you’ve written?
I feel the need, the need to go with Top Gun 101, but Songs That Mention San Diego is a close second.
  2. What word or phrase would you love to ban from the English language?
Oh boy, I think I’m going to have to go with “there, their, they’re” — why are there so many theres?! We really should’ve come up with different-sounding words for each meaning.
  3. What is your biggest writing or PR pet peeve?
Writer’s block — the kind where you can’t come up with a clever headline — is my nightmare.
  4. What one piece of advice do you have for those who want to pitch you a story?
Please include great photos and attribution info, that’s my No. 1 request.
  5. If you could have lunch with one San Diegan you don’t already know, who would it be?
I’ve never met Trevor Hoffman in person, and I would love that — but only if we can play “Hell’s Bells” when we walk into the restaurant.
