Artist Andrew Alcasid Presents “Flowers & Fields” for Second “Curator-in-Residence” Show Staged in Queen Anne Victorian

SAN DIEGO (July 1, 2021)Art, Power, Equity and guest curator Antoinette Genevieve Williams of APOTHEOSIS ART are proud to present the artwork of artist Andrew Alcasid in a solo exhibition featuring works that have been completed over the past five years. From florals to ceramics, the exhibition will be a survey of the artist’s versatility in selected mediums.

Alcasid’s “Flowers & Fields” exhibition will be on display July 3July 25 at the office of J. Walcher Communications, located at 1940 Market St, San Diego, CA 92102. An artist’s talk will take place on Saturday, July 3 from 3:304 p.m. and a public opening from 4-7 p.m., with a closing event on Sunday, July 25 from 4-7 p.m. In this exhibition, the audience is invited to explore the full range of Alcasid’s art practice in varying forms and mediums through the intimacy of a non-traditional exhibition space, an 1896 Queen Anne Victorian home used as an office space. Art can be viewed by appointment every Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m., by appointment only. Alcasid is a contemporary artist living and working in Southern California. A native of the Mira Mesa neighborhood of San Diego, Alcasid was initially a self-taught artist. Entering the scene in a non-traditional fashion, his early forays into the arts were spent creating in the form of graffiti and street art. He later developed his artistic practice through academia, graduating from the Museum Studies program at San Diego Mesa College.
