J. Walcher Communications is a Winner of the One Club for Creativity Covid-19 Awards for Awareness Campaign
SAN DIEGO (July 30, 2021) — J. Walcher Communications (JWC), a top San Diego marketing and communications agency, is a winner of the One Club for Creativity San Diego’s Covid-19 Awards for their work on the County of San Diego and Multicultural Health Foundation’s “Together Against COVID” campaign focused on providing accurate, consistent and timely COVID-19 information to the African American/Black communities of San Diego County.
The campaign, awarded for its creativity, resourcefulness and storytelling, developed as a “disruption awareness campaign” features a series of outdoor, radio/TV commercials, print and out-of-home advertising promoting awareness, resources and information about COVID-19 prevention to San Diego’s African American/Black community.
“We wanted our campaign to be trusted by communities and to spread messages that would be impactful, so we tied our campaign to social justice issues. Doug Moore and Robert Borges, our creative director and copywriter, respectively, dug deep into the issue to create a campaign that got attention and drove people to a website for more information,” said Jean Walcher, president of JWC.
